The valve guides and seats are in place, but do have some surface rust inside so they may need to be replaced will cleaned up.
The head is aluminum and a bare as shown.
The head does have flaking peeling paint, but there are no bent, broken or repaired fins and all gasket surfaces look good. This is not normal, very rare, there are usually no problems, but it does happen.
The only exception to this would be defective items. There is no mounting hardware included.
This was removed from a running 1979 Yamaha Xt5 frame 1e6-21x and engine 1e6-21x, but per will also fit: XT500yamaha oem part number: 2h0 r4 up for sale is XT500 cylinder head. All internal and external threading looks great with nothing stripped or missing.
I can find no other damage or issues.
